Porridge

I’m a huge oatmeal fanatic — let it be known! However, when Summertime rolls around and the temperatures (and humidity levels) soar, I usually can’t even imagine eating a steaming bowl of oatmeal. It takes all I can muster to sip hot coffee — but coffee is one of those things I could never, ever go without.
In any case, the cooler temperatures are beginning to return and this morning’s frosty 42-degrees was perfect for a big bowl of oats with fresh figs, among other good things.

I’m your exact opposite because outmeal makes me gag 😦 Which is why I think granola is such a brilliant invention! The oats are there but without the mushy mouthfeel. Lovely photos by the way.
