The sweetest things often lay just around the corner. For me, that is a quiet afternoon with a fresh muffin from the bakery (or my favorite knot of raisin brioche) with some sweet summer coffee and a stroll through the cobblestone streets. Peering into shop windows to my left and right as I meander through the busy crowds, I find myself with plenty of time to think upon my thoughts, on which I think and ponder and contemplate.
I am quietly within my own world, yet immersed in a society that bustles with life and purpose. It’s a blessing, though disguised.
