Breakfast: The Best Meal of the Day!

If your mama told you that Breakfast was the most important meal of the day, let me tell ya, she was right!

It’s delicious, it boosts the metabolism, it wakes you up, it’s energizing, breakfasters are more likely to maintain their weight, and less likely to overeat throughout the rest of the day — you know, the same old, same old lo-down on breakfast.

But my favorite part is that it just plain tastes good!

1/2 grapefruit, and rolled oats oatmeal topped with banana and plum slices, and slivered almonds! Accompanied by Earl Grey Tea.

Cottage cheese with cinnamon, peanut butter, a weetabix and Post Wheat & Bran cereal, with grapefruit and kiwi!

Steel Cut Oats with a “steamed egg” (spray pan with oil, add egg, cover and “steam” until opaque but yolk is still runny!) with prunes/almonds and 1/2 grapefruit!

Cottage Cheese/cinnamon/weetabix, with a delicious nutrition smoothie!

1 Stonyfield farms Strawberry yogurt, 1 cup frozen berries, 1/2 cup frozen peaches, 1 leaf kale, 1 big handful spinach, 1/3 small avocado, a packet of truvia and 1/2 cup milk. Give it a whirl, and if you want, add cocoa powder (or chocolate protein powder) for extra flavor (or protein).

Savory Egg ‘n’ Oat Bowl: 1 serving steel cut oats with a large handful of lightly steamed spinach stirred in, 1/4 small avocado, one steamed egg, 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 1 green onion. Accompanied by 1/2 grapefruit!

Quick, delicious, and undoubtedly nutritious!
